Here is a collection of wood gates that I really like. Recently installed in cities and towns along the North Shore MA by the crews at Malone Fence Company. Most of the gates you see in the pictures have been stained using two coats of Sherwin Williams exterior stains. The first coat is an exterior wood primer and the second an acrylic latex finish. Although we used white on these particular fences in Salem, MA this product is available in a variety of colors.
The black gate hardware is manufactured by Ameristar Fence Products and in some cases Snug Cottage Hardware. These are examples of some of the quality hardware products we use on our gates at Malone Fence Company. The gate hardware is Black in color which adds a stark and bold contrast to the white stain. Both of these gate hardware manufacturers also offer most styles in a galvanized or zinc plated, all models are completely rust resistant which bodes well for fences that are exposed to salt air and the harsh New England climates.
